Pierrot Shirt, Indian cotton block print
STYLE DESCRIPTION
Pierrot was a character from the pantomime and has his origins in the late 17th century Italian troupe of players performing in Paris. He performed unmasked and with a whitened face and a loose white blouse. As a character he has mystified a number of great creative ladies through time. It is not his comedic trait that has inspired the shirt but rather the dark mystery of his persona. The shirt is romantic but far from overly sweet.
