STYLE DESCRIPTION
I’m a big believer in going for your dreams. The world doesn’t owe you anything, however, if you’re lucky enough to be given a chance, you should grab it and run with it. I was given a chance with Jimmy Duus, the Art Director who started working with me on my magazines more than a decade ago. He was up for all my ideas and dreams when I started formulating what would one day turn into La Bagatelle. Without Jimmy much, if not almost everything, would be different at La Bagatelle. He’s a man’s man and there isn’t much he can’t figure out. So when I very early on whispered that my dream was to one day do denim, he listened. And he kept reminding me of the dream, because like me, Jimmy loves denim. And whereas I know how I want them to look and feel, he knows how every little detail should be done to be done right. To put it short: he is a denim nerd if ever there was one. So when I now speak with some authority about denim, it is very much because I lean on his great knowledge. So credit where credit is due: the launch of La Bagatelle’s first pair of denims Lot: 01 were always meant to be called Jimmy Jeans.

FOUR YEAR WASH
The four year wash has undergone a special aging treatment to give the look of a perfectly worn pair of jeans. They have an immediate sense of character while preserving the long-term evolution of raw denim.

SELVEDGE
Selvedge denim is the denim of dreams. It is produced on traditional shuttle looms that have a narrower width, meaning it takes three times longer to create a roll of loom and more than double the length of fabric is required - compared to regular denim.
The throwing of the shuttle from one edge to the other, spreads the warp yarn widely giving a textured, slightly raised quality to the fabric with a soft and gentle feel. Selvedge has self-finished edges preventing fraying. It shows when they are rolled up.
Selvedge denim gradually transforms over time becoming softer with personal signs of wear and fading.

Crotch rivet.
Back pockets with concealed rivets.
The back pockets has a simple stitchless design.
Logo tab.
Aged cowhide leather patch with logo branding.

WASH AND TREATMENT
Wash inside out in a gentle cycle, maximum 30 degrees.
The fabric will give a little for a perfect fit – so get them tight.
The denim may initially transfer colour. Be careful with wear and washing.
The leather patch may shrink when heated at high temperature. Stay away from steam iron.
